How's the serenity?

Bit of a rough crossing today, but made it over to Atauro Island off the coast of Timor-Leste, despite breathing in a couple of hours worth of outboard fumes.

As Daryl Kerrigan would have said as he breathed in the fresh country air: "Smell that? Four stroke."

Ba'a distrito...

Bit of travelling around lined up for this week. Driving down to Balibo today and will be hanging out in the districts for a bit and then across to Atauro Island.

Australians will be familiar with the Balibo story, of course, but Brits perhaps less so. One of the many stories in Timor's bloodshot history which paints humankind in a terrible light.

Looking forward to escaping the city for a few days. I've been in East Timor on an off for two years now, but the time has come for a change.

Heading to London next weekend for the summer before returning to sunny Sydney in September...
